We all know finding a good mechanic and at a fair price is difficult but when I tell I found them…I FOUND THEM! I have taken all my vehicles to Joey’s for almost a year now and man are they thorough. They give you a full inspection report with videos and pictures and they even call you to let you know what’s going on. Then they help you work on what’s next or prioritize the repairs as long as it’s not a safety concern. If you want to get a honest assessment, repair and maintenance on your vehicle and charged fairly, Joey’s is your shop! Oh and give that man Aaron a raise! He works super hard LOL

I called and see if they would be able to look at my car,battery and the electric system to make sure after my brother had well thought he started my car ,he had not started it but had the battery on and heat turn up to full blast and radio up listening to it well my other brother came and safe the day but check engine light was on so I wanted to make sure things were ok I told Joey that iam a wariey wart so bring it in I did so he explained what was going on and happening and took me home called a little bit later and came and got me and said what was happening and I said ok do it ,very honest and talk straight up about what needs done and staff every friendly I well be coming back to Joey auto care

The experience was exactly what they told me over the phone when I made the appointment. They got my son's BMW in the next day. Then text me tons of pictures, video, test results, and explanations of what they found and then followed up with a phone call about an hour later so I was able to review their report to decide what to do and what to keep an eye on for future. They are very professional and did an excellent job at documenting everything.

Car died at the airport parking ramp. Jumped it and made it across the street to Joey’s. They worked my vehicle into their schedule and diagnosed the problem. I can't say enough good things about my experience at Joey's Auto Shop. From the moment I walked in, the staff was exceptionally kind and professional. As someone who isn't "car-savvy," I genuinely appreciated their patience. They took the time to explain every detail of my car's issues and the necessary repairs in a way that was easy to understand, ensuring there was absolutely no confusion or misunderstanding. This level of clear communication is a rarity and made me feel completely comfortable and confident in their work. The shop itself was impressively clean and well-organized. The team was incredibly efficient, quickly diagnosing and repairing my car, which was a huge relief. Their communication throughout the process was fantastic, especially with the invoice and quote. I loved that the quote was so detailed, allowing me to easily select which services I wanted done now. They also included a helpful breakdown of other services that I should consider getting fixed or checked soon, based on the condition of my car. This proactive approach shows they truly care about their customers' long-term safety and vehicle health. Finally, the location is a major plus, especially for anyone on the Southside or traveling to and from the DSM airport. It's incredibly convenient, which just adds to the overall positive experience. I had an issue with my brakes shortly after they were replaced. Joey’s scheduled me an appointment, looked them over, and found they were defective from the factory. They replaced them under warranty very quickly. Joey’s has always taken great care of my vehicles, and they’ve earned my business for life. I recommend Joey's Auto Shop because they are very honest. I am a single, retired woman. Joey's has always done a great job, they are friendly and knowledgeable. They always keep me informed. They drive my car and tell me if I have other things that will need fixed later. I wouldn't take my car anywhere else. Some places maybe a little cheaper, but don't check things out, and it will wind up costing you more. I've never heard of anyone that wasn't totally satisfied with Joey's. And I send everyone there. Great job Joey's.

Kevin answered my initial phone call to the shop and “sold” me to bring my vehicle there for some diagnostic testing. He was very courteous and thorough explaining what might happen and the costs associated with those options. Then he called me with the results, service options and costs. We made a plan and am happy with the repairs! Appreciate the great service!

Always a great experience! Very thorough inspections and great on following up after services have been completed. From the front desk to the mechanic and to Joey the owner, they treat you very well, and have the “we do things the right way” type of attitude. I recently came here for an oil change and I was overwhelmed by how great the service was! I dropped my car off while I was traveling, and they were very accommodating to let me leave my vehicle there longer (since it was right by the airport). Kevin was helping me at the front desk and he was incredibly friendly and kind and even remembered my name when I came back. They had ordered the parts for my oil change ahead of time so it made the process go very smoothly and I felt that they were very honest with the inspection and didn't try to "sell" me on a bunch of additional things that I didn't need, which is always a fear of mine when taking my car in. All in all, FANTASTIC experience.

After expensive quotes from other shops ok repairs I didn’t need, I went to Joeys even before it was on Fluer Drive and knew at that first visit I didn’t want to take my car anywhere else. What I liked was that Joey explained what I needed and only fixed what truly needed repaired which kept in cost down yet I always felt like my car was well taken care of when going here. Ben or Brent who usually works the front counter is also very good and explaining the process. Nothing but excellence here! I love that you can text back and forth for updates. They will send a document via text for anything they find that hasn't been approved before they started the work. Then you can approve or decline any services. The document tells you the exact price, shows photos and video if needed, and tells you how soon you will need it to be fixed so there are no surprises. Marcie at the front desk is great to work with - knowledgeable, kind, non-judgemental, and funny. This is the only place I take my car and I would recommend to anyone looking for a mechanic. Oh! And they usually get the work done same day! If not, they'll tell you up front and give the option for coming back later, etc.

Unfortunately, the frame that holds the transmission and engine was completely rusted out. It was unsafe to drive. Who cries about a car? I did!! That car and I had been through a lot together. Joeys is great. I hate to be gender-normative, but I'm a woman who knows nothing about cars and I always entrust my car repairs or questions to Joey's. They provide photos with their assessments, so you can see that they're truthful, they provide detailed explanations of what they noticed, they offer a scale to show what is a needed fix right away, what can wait awhile, and what is looking good, and they are always personable. Last time I had to spend a good chunk of money here, I did a quick google search fo see if the pricing seemed right, and it was right in line with what it should be for those repairs. They also clearly do everything possible to get repairs done same-day as your appointment. I only have good things to say!

Great customer service. The people who are at the front desk are pleasant and knowledgeable. The mechanics only fixed what needed to be done at the time and made suggestions for future repairs but didn't push to have the work done right way.

I had car trouble while visiting from out of town, Ben fit me in right away to do diagnostics on my car to make sure it was safe to drive home. I called that morning at 7:30am, and they had my car ready for me later that day by 2:30pm. While they didn't do any repairs on my car, I feel as though they were honest and quoted reasonable prices for diagnostics and potential repairs.

I'm VERY pleased with the work that was done on my 2003 Pontiac Montanna. (Not gonna lie, I struggled with the cost of repairs. BUT, that is to be expected with an older vehicle.) The workmanship, time and effort Joey's Auto Shop put into my vehicle was second to none. I am wholly satisfied with my entire experience from start to finish. The Customer Service provided was EXCEPTIONAL! Ben was SUPER considerate. He explained everything in terms I could understand and answered ALL of my questions. ETA: Another wonderful experience at Joey's! (I have a list of repairs that need done.) I'll be back in about a month for more even more work. Seriously, the work that's done has been fabulous and their customer service is second to none!

Being fairly new to the area I was looking for a trustworthy shop. I took my older car in for an inspection. Before they completed the job they called to tell me of a number of problems that would not be worth the money to repair. They reduced the inspection fee to be in line with the time they put in and gave sound advise on the worthiness of the vehicle. I've found the shop I was looking for and will recommend them to family.

I’ve been using Joey’s Auto since he was running a shop in his backyard. Is Joey the cheapest in town? No. Is his shop the most honest with the highest quality that I’ve personally used? Yes. YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR. Rockstar service with a detailed list of issues with your vehicle organized from least to most priority. I’ve heard “Technically you could fix this but it’s really not an issue. I’d focus on xyz first.” This makes me feel like I’m not being taken advantage of. They also have an excellent warranty and they recently repaired something under warranty for my wife with zero hesitation or fuss. Which brings me to my other point. My wife feels comfortable as a woman taking her car in alone because of their history of being honest with us. I highly recommend this shop.

After bouncing around a few car mechanics and not fully being satisfied with the trust or service my vehicles were receiving I finally found Joey's Auto Shop and what I believe to be my vehicles maintenance forever home. The two gentlemen working the front desk are top notch. Setting an appointment is a breeze, and Joey's level of detail when doing their diagnostic is INCREDIBLE! Even for a routine job like an oil change they complete a full car inspection and send you a full recap of all their findings, with pictures included and estimates on potential issues. They never come off as pushy or use scare tactics for an additional sale but leave you incredibly informed before leaving. While I would say their prices are on the higher end, I find it more than worth it based on the thorough job they do. I leave their shop with complete confidence that my vehicles won't have any preventable breakdowns after visiting Joey's.

This is my first time using Joey's. I chose them because of the good reviews people shared. First impressions are so important, and they knocked it out of the park, both on the phone and in person. They had to replace my condenser...dealer wanted $1800 and they did it for half that. I lost the money I paid Dodge for diagnostics because I chose to service it elsewhere, which is unfortunate. But, I still saved a lot of money! I will definitely be going back. They were informative, thorough, helpful, and seemed to look out for your best interest. I am glad I trusted the reviews and gave them a shot. Quite honestly, it is a shame more people haven't taken the time to leave a review. But the ones who did have been happy campers, including me. I feel great about using their service again in the future and highly recommend them!

I brought my recently purchased used VW Beetle to the shop to have some concerns I had reviewed. While they did their research they ended up making contact with the dealership. The guys managed to get the dealership to make good on a repair I was told was not needed but was and saved me $1600! That was above and beyond! Joey’s will be this car’s mechanics of choice from now on.
